For years I used presenters with a standard laser pointer. Worked great on most screens. Didn't work at all when presenting on a monitor/TV. And of course, didn't work over video-conferencing.This presenter works great - even over video-conference. The "Laser" mode is nothing to write home about (the "laser" function in PowerPoint works just as well - although you can change the size of the "laser" with the Logitech Spotlight). But both the "Highlight" and "Magnify" mode are fantastic. Really nice that they are configurable for things like size and brightness.It takes just a bit of getting used to for aiming and moving the pointer. But within a few minutes, I felt fully in control.The clock/timer only displays if you are using a computer connected to an external monitor/screen/projector and you have the "presenter" view set. But the vibrating feedback with the customizable countdown timer for presentations works fine.Quite a bit more expensive than other types of presenters, but it does so much more. Highly recommended for people who frequently give presentations.
